Handcross Park School is seeking to appoint a part time Minibus Driver as soon as possible. The focus of this position is to pick up children at the start of the school day and other ad hoc driving as required.

**This is a term time position.** Mornings from 6.30am - 8.30am with ad hoc hours for sport afternoons during the week. Additional hours will be paid on submission of an authorised timesheet.

**Person Specification**:

- Possess a full, clean UK D1 or PVC driving licence
- Pass a driving assessment which will be held post interview
- Be confident working with children
- Possess a concientious, approachable and flexible attitude towards working colleagues and the workplace

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are 'spent' unless they are 'protected' under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.

**Safeguarding and Child Protection**

The post-holder’s responsibility for promoting and safe-guarding the welfare of children and young persons’ with whom they come into contact, will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the School’s Safeguarding Policy at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the post the post-holder becomes aware of any actual or potential risks to the safety or welfare of children in the school they must report any concerns to the School’s Designated Safeguarding lead or to the Headmaster.
