**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for nurturing and educating young children in a safe and stimulating environment. You will play a crucial part in their early development, ensuring they receive the best possible start in their educational journey. Your ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues will be essential in fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
**Duties**
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote the development of children aged 0-5 years.
- Create a warm and welcoming environment that encourages children to explore and learn.
- Manage daily routines, ensuring that children's needs are met in terms of health, safety, and emotional well-being.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities as necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and education within the nursery setting.
- Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance as required by regulatory bodies.
- Work across our 2 Nursery settings one in Chester-le Street and one in Birtley working across all ages
**Skills**
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
- A background in Early Childhood Education or related fields is essential.
- Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is highly desirable.
- Leadership qualities to inspire and guide fellow team members effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour under pressure.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their growth through play-based learning.
Term time only also available
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
