Imperial Professionals are delighted to announce that we are working exclusively with one of our high-profile clients to appoint a Financial Controller on a permanent basis.

**JOB TITLE**: Financial Controller
**LOCATION**: Nottingham
**HOURS**: Office hours, Monday to Friday
**ROLE**:

- Daily supervision of a small Finance Team including purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control and cashiering functions.
- Preparation of monthly outcomes up to trial balance level.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual analysis and reporting’s.
- Provide the MD with monthly P and L outcomes and any evaluation needed to review and sign off.
- Provide monthly P and L account assessment to the SMT and Branch Managers to allow sound decision-making and add value to the company’s operations by reviewing monthly reports and offering evaluation.
- Ensure month-end billing closure is precise, preparing of control accounts reconciliations to guarantee that company transactions are correctly accounted for and accurately reflected the billing process of the company.
- Preparation of monthly contracts and long-term WIP calculations and deferred/accrued monthly revenue posts.
- Review and monitor sales and payable ledgers detail and bad debt provisions.
- Manage the inventory of fixed assets including assessment and reconciliation.
- Managing external payroll runs and wage payments for employees.
- Develop, plan and recommend practices that provide an extensive and adequate internal control system that meets group demands.
- Forecasting and management of the company’s cash flow, working with all branches and departments across the company to guarantee optimisation of working capital.
- Assist with the annual audit, budget preparations and the on-site relationship with external auditors.
- Provide supervision of processes for inventory control, including cycle counts and annual inventory counts.
- Responsible for preparing disclosures for quarterly VAT returns to be made to local tax officials.
- Prepare and review suitable ledger entries and reconciliations to guarantee that company’s operations are correctly accounted for and accurately represent the billing process of the company.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- ACCA, CIMA qualification or equivalent.
- Minimum five years of accounting experience within a technical manufacturing industry.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel
- Although not essential experience with Sage would be advantageous.
