The Trophy & Print Shop is based in Norton, Malton, with shops in both Norton and York. We are the largest specialist trophy retailer in North Yorkshire, selling directly to the local area from our long established shops and also nationally through our websites.

We are looking for someone to join the friendly team. We now have a part-time vacancy based at our Norton shop, initially for around 5 hours on Fridays,

plus further hours on Mondays may be possible during our busy periods - April/May/June and October/November.

Some flexibility in the hours may be possible i.e. to fit in with childcare/school times.

Also we can be flexible during school holidays if extra time off is needed.

**Brief Job Description**
Assisting with general showroom, workshop, office and housekeeping duties including;
Assisting with customers in showroom, cash handling and completion of Visa/Mastercard and cheque payments.
Assisting in processing and scheduling orders, checking jobs when completed and ready for collection.
Engraving and trophy assembly work.
Unpacking and checking goods inward from suppliers and matching up with customer orders.
Clerical duties including photocopying and telephone work.
Word processing and typesetting using Windows software, as required and data processing on computer.
Stock control duties, including communicating with the shop and workshop in York.
Maintaining and arranging showroom display.

**Hours**

Fridays 9.30am - 3.00pm = 5 hours (with ½ hour lunchbreak)

Plus further hours on Mondays may be possible during our busy periods (April/May/June and October/ November.

**Requirements**:
The role involves working in a team and dealing with customers, advising and guiding them through the ordering process, so a friendly manner, good communication skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.
Also there will be some engraving using computerised and manual pantograph engravers. As you can probably imagine, there’s a lot going on all of the time. With that in mind, you’ll need a really positive, can-do attitude and the enthusiasm to pitch in and help out wherever you’re needed.
With stock coming in and out there will be lifting and handling involved too - so you’ll need to be comfortable with that if you decide to apply.

Applicants must be reliable, punctual, trustworthy and flexible.
Good IT skills are required and a working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Coreldraw would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be given.
Previous engraving experience is not required as training will be given, but applicants must have good practical and computer skills.

Minimum Qualifications required: English and Maths GCSE Grade C or equivalent
