**Person Specification**:
NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification

Experience working with children under 5 years of age

Experience of directing staff

Knowledge of EYFS Curriculum

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)

Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)

**Some of the Senior Room Leader responsibilities will include**:

- To work closely with the nursery manager and deputy manager in providing a safe nurturing environment of children to learn and grow.
- Reviewing and monitoring planning within rooms to ensure stimulating opportunities are continually provided for the children
- To ensure all staff understand and comply with all nursery policy and procedures
- To carry our regular staff supervisions and identify training needs
- To support current room leaders with any children’s observations and assessments
- Ensuring all nursery documentation is accurately maintained
- To work in partnership with parents forming caring and trusting relationships
- To provide cover for Room leaders in times of absence and direct staff as required
- Attending staff meetings and training as required
