**Do you have experience in Print for Retail, with solid project management skills? If so, you could be the Print Specialist ASDA is looking for**

As Print Specialist, you will be a Subject Matter Expert with responsibility for print technical input and brand colour control throughout the Design Change Process for POS, Asda Publications, and the Shipper Design. You will develop and improve the performance and quality of new and existing POS Elements at best value.

**What the role will be responsible for**:

- To manage the delivery of best-in-class levels of print quality and brand consistency.
- Work with the Asda Team and Creative Agencies to develop right first-time creative execution, preventing waste, reducing delay and cost.
- Delivery of print technical input and brand colour control throughout the creative design process.
- Development, execution, updating and communication of Artwork & Repro Guidelines to Artwork Agencies.
- Co-ordinating Ways of Working reviews and reporting for assigned Agency partners, to drive efficiencies and identify cost saving opportunities.
- On the job technical coaching and support for the Asda team so that they can confidently brief, challenge on quality & performance and challenge on cost.
- Work with the Artwork Agencies and Print vendors to develop Right First Time print ready data, removing waste, delay, and cost.
- Support the Management of the Asda Approved Printer list.
- Exploring, validating, and promoting Print Solutions/Innovations/Sustainability initiatives that remove cost from the supply chain.
- Responsible for supporting the development of sustainable material choices in line with ASDA's Plastic's unwrapped pledge, ensuring consistency and product performance is optimised.
- Ensuring full engagement with stakeholders in line with agreed stage gates within the Packaging/POS implementation process.
- Explore/develop best use of latest technologies to improve new and existing processes and refine ways of working.
- Delivering Brand Colour Standards and Print Instructions to the Print base that clearly define expected levels of Print execution and performing post-launch in store Print Quality reviews.

**About you**:

- Highly organise with great project management skills.
- A good problem solver that can think on their feet and react at pace to business needs.
- The ability to inspire, energise and influence at all levels.
- Have excellent attention to detail and decision-making skills.
- Have a good understanding of colour management for print, artwork, and repro for print.
- Have a good understanding and experience of all print techniques in the production of Packaging and POS (Flexo, Litho, Gravure, Dry-offset, Screen, Digital, Letterpress) and supporting disciplines/technology.
- Experience in a Print Technical role is ideal.
- Tech savvy. Experience of Adobe CS is ideal, and MS Office is essential.
