**Our Opportunity**

ROOSE is a shared educational provision between four Ryedale Secondary Schools (Lady Lumley’s School, Malton School, Norton College and Ryedale School) to support students who are out of education. ROOSE works as a satellite to Lady Lumley’s School as part of our setting, yet distinct. Situated within the town of Pickering, ROOSE serves a small cohort of students who are out of mainstream education or accessing blended education. Through bespoke education packages, ROOSE helps children back into full time, mainstream education, equipping them with appropriate skills and qualifications to thrive. Ensuring students progress in Maths and English is vital to life chances and this provision is central to ROOSE’s curriculum. In addition, and through negotiation with Home Schools, ROOSE provides a curriculum menu, including Outdoor Education, Life Skills and Catering.

We are looking to appoint a Centre Leader for ROOSE to play a key role in leading ROOSE to ensure outstanding outcomes for pupils in all areas of teaching and learning, curriculum provision, standards of attainment and behaviour and safety within the provision.

The role will be to:

- teach pupils as well as effectively deploying other staff to support the effectiveness of ROOSE and ensure the SEMH needs of all pupils in ROOSE are met.
- ensure that all referrals to ROOSE are managed, liaising with schools, families and external agencies as required.
- identify and implement a clear entry and exit strategy for each pupil securing a place at ROOSE as well as ensuring compliance of provision as outlined in any pupils Education and Health Care Plan and the SEN Code of Practice.
- provide regular updates to the pupils’ home academy/school and provide strategies in order to support the pupils’ reintegration to mainstream education.
- lead pupil safeguarding as Deputy DSL
