**Role Overview**:
As the Communications and Marketing Officer at Larkhall Butchers, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand narrative and connecting with our community. This unique position offers a blend of communication, marketing, and educational responsibilities, providing an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

As a new role there is some flexibility in working hours/schedules as well as responsibilities within the role.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Develop and implement comprehensive communication and marketing strategies to promote our brand and mission.
- Craft compelling content for various channels, including social media, newsletters, blogs, and press releases.
- Create and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials to local and national media outlets.
- Educate customers on the advantages of shopping local, sustainable farming practices, and the benefits of supporting local farmers.
- Collaborate with local farmers and partners to showcase their stories and products, reinforcing our commitment to ethical sourcing.
- Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts to ensure positive coverage of the organization.
- Manage and populate class schedules, promoting educational events and workshops focused on cooking, butchery, and sustainable living.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication and marketing efforts, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results and preparing reports on the organization's public image.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in public relations and communications.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or relevant field preferred.
- Previous experience in communications, marketing, or related fields preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging content.
- Passion for sustainability, local farming, and community engagement.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Knowledge of social media platforms, digital marketing tools, and analytics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
