A key part of the role of a Planner is to establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with the project team, customer, supply chain and the wider planning community, becoming an integrated member of the project team.

The Planner will be under the supervision of the Planning Manager and Project lead to be responsible for implementing the requirements of the project planning/programme requirements in accordance with the VolkerStevin Planning Standards, ensuring compliance with the business management systems.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Ensuring that the programme content is functionally compliant with the planning procedures and guidance
- Identifying planning scope, programme constraints and contract requirements
- Identifying major quantities and factors that may affect the programme
- Establishing and agreeing construction outputs, project calendars and working hours with operational support and Estimator
- Assisting operational support and the Bid Team in developing key methods of construction, sequencing, installation and commissioning
- Producing and documenting the planning deliverables including tender planning worksheet, presentations and reports.
- Under the guidance of the Planning Manager produce the Tender Programme and supporting information in accordance with the tender requirements
- Generation of time risk quantum in accordance with the Planning Manager/Bid Manager strategy
- Reconciling VolkerStevin and sub-contract plant/labour and major material elements with the Estimator
- Interfacing with third parties to identify and resolve issues
- Meets deadlines through effective time management

**Skills & experience**:

- Be competent user of planning software
- Actively develop their knowledge and experience of planning techniques, tools and competencies
- Awareness of construction techniques and developments
- Knowledge of ECI process and procedures
- Manage file and data storage within workspace/Asite
- Be an active member of the VolkerStevin and VolkerWessels Planning Community
- Live the VolkerStevin Way behaviours
- Make safety the core of all activities and planning activities
