This is an opportunity to start or further your career as a Property Inventory Clerk. We are looking for Inventory Clerks to join us on a self-employed basis.
The properties are based in London.
You will receive a percentage commission from each report’s fee (averages £40 per booking) and will be able to work in a flexible fashion. Our best clerks are allocated between 2-3 bookings per day.
But be aware: we only hire clerks that display the highest standards of diligence, punctuality and professionalism.
Furthermore, all our clerks are obliged to complete a rigorous training programme before being sent to a property.
You must have English GCSE C or above; have access to a PC with Word and Excel, own a digital camera, a mobile phone and a Dictaphone - as well as being IT literate. As an inventory clerk you will be expected to travel all over London and compile very detailed reports on the items, descriptions and conditions of properties.
The report we create are intricately in-depth and are used as contracts between the tenant and landlord to ensure that tenants do not lose their deposits, and that landlords’ investments are well protected.
What we do as a company is of the up-most importance as ultimately what we say in reports can affect the livelihoods of the parties involved.
Essential:
- GCSE and Maths grade C and above.
- You will need to be IT literate (Word and Basic Excel) and have the use of a computer, Internet and a printer.
- You will need use of a smartphone for photos and audio recordings.
- You will need access to a printer and the Internet at home.
- You will need to be well presented and professional at all times.
- You will need to be organised and reliable.
- You will be required to carry out Inventories, Check Outs, Check Ins and Inspections.
- You will be required to purchase essential tools for the role.
Days: Your availability will generally need to be Monday to Saturday with some scope to work on Sundays. Ideally you will available to work for a minimum of 3 full days a week.
Hours: You can choose to work half or full days as long as you are still in-line with the above.
Areas: London. You can specify which part of London you prefer to work in.
The more willing you are to travel, the more work we can offer you.
Dress Code: Clerks are expected to be presentable.
Training: There will be relevant training provided based on experience.
Admin: We have an admin team that type up reports. There is an element of admin involved, therefore good IT skills are essential.
