**Salary range**: £130 - £150 daily

**Location**: Peterborough (Specifically Boston)

**Role Type**:Self Employed Contractor

**About the role**:
An amazing opportunity exists for an OH Fibre Splicer & Tester to join our team and be responsible for ensuring that cables are laid in the correct ducts, matches the plans from the surveyors, and that compliance with current Health and Safety and Environmental guidelines and regulations is maintained.

**Successful applicants will ideally have to**:

- Test rod and rope existing ducts within the Openreach network.
- Install CBTs/Splitter boxes in chambers and install tails back to required chambers for splicing
- Ensure work meets Openreach PIA spec for quality purposes and sign off
- If required, work on BT Telegraph poles to complete overhead cabling and equipment installation. Either by Climbing or working in a MEWP.
- Maintain Good H&S practices at all times for the specific task at hand
- Complete mandatory digital tasks such as RAMS, Post build audits, evidence submission of completed works
- Completing different tasks as per the business requirements.

**Essential / MUST HAVE Experience and skills**
- Proficient at ladder climbing
- Excellent IT skills
- Testing & Splicing

**Certifications/Qualifications required**
- BTA Accreditation
- SA 020
- SA 001 & SA 002
- NO29

**Job Type**: Freelance

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Testing and Splicing: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- SA002 — Safety Underground (required)
- Driving Licence (required)
- SA001 — Overhead Safety (required)
