**The Role**

You will assist the Ecology Team to survey habitats and protected species on a wide variety of different projects, predominantly to inform the development of sites for a range of uses from housing developments, solar farms, industrial facilities as well as existing buildings e.g. social housing maintenance and repair works. **Key Responsibilities**

You will be working with experienced ecologists on, and be trained in, the following:

- Preliminary ecological appraisals and habitat mapping
- Bat dawn and dusk surveys
- Great crested newt surveys
- Water vole surveys
- Badger surveys
- Ecological Clerk of Works on development sites

**_ More about you_**
- Have appropriate relevant experience - either working towards a related degree (in ecology, conservation, environmental management/science, conservation or these in combination with other areas)
- OR other relevant experience within the environmental field e.g. previous work placement or related voluntary work
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- IT literate
- Organised and effective time management
- Full clean driving licence
- Willingness to travel and flexibility in working hours required to accommodate different survey requirements
- Working knowledge of GIS (Desirable)
