**We are looking to hire a Telephone Sales and Support Assistant to join our software development company based in Larbert.**

**You must be able to speak in CLEAR, PLAIN and CONSISE ENGLISH.**

**Basic IT experience and understanding is essential for this role.**

This is a remote working from home role however some occasional travel to our office in Larbert may be required for initial training, meetings and other discussions. You must therefore have a strong internet home connection, and appropriate space to be able to carry out work without disruption.

**You must also be in a suitable travelling distance to the office in Larbert.**

Our software is an in-house solution for vehicle dismantlers to manage their inventory and integration to online marketplaces. We have over 65 customers with more in the progress of signing up and converting from other systems in the market.

The successful applicant would act as the main call handler, provide remote demos to customers, and progress these leads to successful customers.

This will complement our existing staff who can then focus on other roles and responsibilities.

This will include outbound calls to follow up existing customers with any outstanding support queries not responded to as well as contacting potential customers who have contacted us with interest to use our system, to arrange a demo if they have not yet done so, and once they have, to follow up and generate a successful sale and another customer in return. Commission may be provided for successful leads you convert to successful customers.

The sales role will also require you to reach potential leads by networking and engaging in conversations.

There will also be an expectation to handle inbound calls and to direct them to support in the most appropriate procedure. These will also include customer calls for remote support and training as part of the onboarding of the new customer, if customers require additional support out with our documented guides.

Contact is also using our support ticket system, messaging facilities, and sending of letters. General tasks may also be given such as updating of our social media and handling of sent and received invoices, and ad hoc tasks and projects etc.

The successful applicant will be fully trained to understand our software, our calling and support procedures and we will provide all the necessary equipment and software provided to do the job in an effective and efficient manner, before the role is fully commenced and available for customers.

This is a permanent role of at least 16 hours per week, with holiday entitlement. The role may expand to a full-time position as the business expands. Extra days or hours may be required to cover for any staff holiday or unavailability as well as to allow our business visits to customers to take place.

**What we are looking for from applicants**:

- Sales experience beneficial to establish new leads, onboarding and engagement.
- Previous experience in a call centre or similar sales environment would be much appreciated.
- At least basic IT skills but strong IT skills (such as working in a support position involving calls) would be beneficial but not essential.
- Can respond to customers (based in the UK, Ireland and South Africa) in clear, concise English, and be polite and helpful at all times.
- Can attend to all types of customers when contacting them through calling, including difficult ones.
- Ability to manage all tasks given by other staff and to complete them in an appropriate timescale.
- Can work within a small team and also on their own too.
- Office skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Apps such as Gmail and Google Docs).
- Must be committed to the role and attend all appropriate job related training when directed to.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £9.85-£12.00 per hour
