About the Role:
As a Payroll Administrator Apprentice, you will be responsible for ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and on time. You'll gain a wide-ranging understanding of payroll operations, including legislation & compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic field.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Payroll Processing**: Accurately process payroll, understanding different pay types, statutory deductions, and UK-specific payroll schemes, including the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
- **Legislative Knowledge**: Develop knowledge of the legislative framework surrounding payroll, employment, and pensions, including Real-Time Information (RTI), gender pay gap reporting, and benefits-in-kind.
- **Pensions Overview**: Gain an understanding of the UK pension landscape, workplace pensions, and Auto-Enrolment responsibilities in line with guidance from The Pensions Regulator.
- **Technical Skills**: Learn the technical aspects of payroll, including calculating gross to net pay and handling statutory and voluntary deductions.
- **Systems and Processes**: Get hands-on experience with payroll systems, finance, HR, and IT software, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software.

- A commitment to completing your apprenticeship and obtaining industry-relevant qualifications.
- No experience needed, as full training and enrollment into a Payroll Adminstrator course will be provided.
