An exciting opportunity has arisen within for a competent Senior Multi-skilled Tradesperson. The post holder will be required to work within the Estates and Facilities Division based primarily at Cheltenham General Hospital, but expected to work at Healthcare properties on a county-wide basis as necessary. This post is to provide installs, maintenance, servicing and repairs to a full range of estates services, plant and equipment across all areas of their trade. Without this plant and equipment being maintained then the hospital would not function therefore impacting on patient safety, experience and quality of care.
- Be the AP (or be working towards AP status with relevant training and experience) holding the delegated responsibility to supervise and monitor work carried out by others and manage interruptions to the system. Ensure that all maintenance plans and work schedule specifications are up to date; provide specialist and technical advice to GMS and the group. Ensure that all risk assessments are up to date; with action plans and remedial actions are in place and reviewed. Plan and organise your training and update sessions to ensure training is relevant and up to date.
- Be part of the maintenance and estates team developing and sharing information with colleagues from all sites. Supporting change with estates and maintenance colleagues which will be actioned and implemented across the whole service ensuring a consistent approach to service delivery.
- Actively support the Estates team in the development, preparation, of estates and maintenance strategies.
- Must be available to participate in the out of hour's response arrangement as required one week in four.
