**Purpose of the Position**:
To lead and manage the administration team and to be the on-site lead for all administration activities in support of the Contract Manager. Support the accurate and timely production of monthly KPI reports. Managing team resource as effectively as possible to drive DSV towards meeting its financial goals

**The main purpose of the job is**:
The Administration Supervisor will make up a key part of the site management team, reporting into the Contract Manager and working closely with the Operations Manager and other Supervisors as well as the Administration Team to ensure a clear communication flow is developed, ensuring that the customer's operational and strategic aspects are proactively identified and serviced.

To work with the Contract Manager & Operations Manager, the Supervisor will drive quality focus to ensure that all contact between staff and customer is of an appropriately high standard. To lead and manage the team, motivating them to provide timely, quality service and total customer satisfaction. Leading by example, setting expectations and values, recognising, and rewarding where appropriate.

Support the development and coaching of team members to maximize their full potential.

**Key Tasks of the role are**:

- Drive operational performance to ensure orders and queries are processed in a timely and accurate manner. This includes such tasks as providing daily deck checks to capture potential failures to service as well as holding start of shift briefings allowing work streams/responsibilities to be allocated accordingly at the start of shift.
- To ensure that the administration team are motivated and have the relevant skills, knowledge and attitude to contribute effectively to maximise accuracy and productivity.
- Assisting with the recruitment, training, development, and discipline of all personnel employed within the administration operation. Ensuring that all employees in the office work to the required standards of the Company and are assessed through regular performance reviews. Monitoring, on an ongoing basis, the performance of all direct reports, and undertake regular reviews in accordance with the Company’s procedures. In addition to ensure that the employee engagement concept is known as the People Plan/appraisal system is embedded and practiced within the administration function.
- Ensure processes are in place for effective communication, consultation and feedback including daily briefings, planning and individual 121 sessions with staff
- Clearly understand issues with customer service/accuracy/issues
- Monitor the performance and effectiveness of staff at both a team and individual level.
- Promote Service Excellence with the team and embed core routines.
- Work closely with other areas of our business, maintaining excellent relationships in a supportive and collaborative way.
- To have some knowledge and understanding of bonded warehouse procedures.

**Desired Skills Required**:

- 4 GSCE’S or equivalent
- 1 years’ experience in an Administrative/Customer Service Supervisory role
- Budgeting and financial reporting awareness
- Experience of Red Prairie, Cargo link
- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
- Leadership, ability of achieving and exceeding business goals.
- Ability to lead and motivate direct reports
- Highly motivated with a positive attitude
- High organisational skills, ability to plan and manage own time
- Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels
