Shire Healthcare are currently sourcing a Speech and Language Therapist for one of our clients based in Lancashire. The successful Speech and Language Therapist will support people with brain injuries and other neurological conditions within a slow stream rehabilitation unit.
This is a permanent position and our client can consider both part-time and full-time applicants.
The role:
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team made up of Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, a Psychologist, Rehabilitation Coaches, Speech and Language Therapists and a Neurological Consultant
- Completing assessments for communication, eating and drinking difficulties
- Delivering evidence-based, person-centred interventions
- Delegating tasks to therapy assistants and rehabilitation coaches
The ideal Speech and Language Therapist
- Holds a relevant Degree/Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registered
- Has at least 18 months’ post-graduate experience
- Completed post-graduate dysphagia training
