Warehouse & Distribution Operative

As a Warehouse & Distribution Operative you will utilise available planning systems to identify demand and translate this into achievable production and material plans, along with schedules that optimally balance customer service and operational cost efficiency.
You will manage material risks within the department and liaise with purchasing to achieve customer service and stock targets. You will measure, minimise, and publish expected obsolete/over stocks and champion ongoing communication with the materials/purchasing teams to ensure accurate exchange of information. This role will also require you to support vehicle loading duties within the Distribution Team.
Other duties include proposing and implementing continuous improvements in the department.
**Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week, usually organised between 2.00pm-10.00pm, but may vary to be 4.00pm-12.00am.**
Shift Allowance
**Key Areas, Roles & Responsibilities**:
- Facilitation of material flow and Co-ordinate warehouse picking.
- Maximise all waste streams and ensure maximum revenue is always recovered.
- Manage and supply Kanban levels to the desired level to minimise downtime.
- Manage all goods in activities informing people of materials and ensuring any paperwork is passed onto the relevant areas.
- Administer all customer and supplier returns effectively.
- Housekeeping Standards - Manage the 5S housekeeping for the materials department.
- Ensure the outside yard is well organised kept tidy.
- Work with all key stakeholders to drive the OTIF measure.
- Establish SOP documentation for all Material Processes.
- Identify & drive continuous improvement projects to support the business.
- The implementation and maintenance of accurate perpetual stock counting and control
- This role will include support to the vehicle loading team, loading orders onto vehicles ready for despatch.
