**Job Title**: Shift Supervisor

**Reporting to**: Hygiene Manager

**Place of Work**: Site Based

**Payrate**: £14 per hour

**Shift times**: 07.00am - 18.00pm Monday - Friday (Temporary - will move to 4 on 4 off shift patten in 2026)

**Job Purpose**

Responsibility for driving operational performance in a high-profile Site, delivering excellent service and demonstrating continuous improvement in service delivery, process & engagement with both colleagues & clients. The Cleaning Manager will act as a single point of contact for all cleaning issues across the Site.

**Major Accountabilities**

1. To demonstrate the NIC values and lead by example at all times.

2. Providing a key interface between on-site client (customer) and the contracted service providers on a day to day basis.

3. Monitor and report service level agreements and key performance indicators internal and external.

4. Ownership and management of the departmental audits, and statutory compliance plans to achieve and maintain legal status

5. To develop and maintain the relationship with the customer to ensure their expectations are met whilst working within defined specifications.

6. Manage the performance of staff in consultation with an appropriate HR representative, taking necessary actions to develop staff or improve performance

7. Ensure colleague training is up to date including inductions, refresher training, machinery & tool box talks

8. Ensure site compliance documents are up to date & completed - where appropriate.

9. Ensure risks, hazards & incidents are reported, and investigated & any remedial actions completed.

**Experience Requirements**: Detail qualifications and experience needed to perform in the role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience of managing a team
- Previous experience within cleaning & soft services
- Sound knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH legislation

**Roles Specific Responsibilities in Operations**:
**Rotas**: Ensure all scheduled tasks for Cleaning including Lift and sweep, scrub plans and periodic tasks are completed & recorded.

**Specification**:

- Establish a thorough understanding of the site specifications for your site and monitor the frequencies of all activities to ensure delivered to standard and within spec timeframes.
- Ensure the specifications are being met on site and that the customer has a full understanding of our and their responsibilities
- Review of the specifications on a regular basis alongside the customer and obtain evidence of the specifications being met by maintaining tracker records / photographs as per processes set.
- Monitor and review the service standards with the customer at least weekly, and conduct the formal audit mutually once per month
