A vacancy has arisen within our Inspection Department for an Assistant Team Leader on ‘D’ Crew, reporting directly to the Shift Manager.
What will the role include?
The successful applicant will be required to supervise employees and deploy resources to maximise pack efficiency on shift.
They should be familiar with the whole glass container inspection and packaging processes and have a good understanding of quality standards and the effect of each process on the quality of the finished pallet.
They should also have an aptitude for operating inspection equipment and be computer literate and able to communicate verbally, electronically and in writing.
Carry out housekeeping as required in accordance with Company Hygiene Rules.
Comply with Company Health & Safety Procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
**Required skills / qualifications**:
Educated to National 5 Level - Grade C or above in Maths, Science and English.
Familiar with the whole glass container inspection and packaging processes.
Understanding of quality standards.
Team leadership, enthusiasm, commitment, personal drive, and customer focus.
A good understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Tools and continuous improvement.
Computer literate with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Awareness of relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations.

Salary based on Grade 5 of the harmonised pay scales (shift-workers) plus the appropriate chargehand allowance.
