Commercial Manager - Modular Construction, Competitive Salary +Bonus + Car Allowance + Benefits package.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join a market leading modular construction group. They provide design and build, off-site constructed modular building solutions for the commercial, education, healthcare, residential and MOD sectors.Value of projects typically range in value between £500k-£100m
Key responsibilities:
*Managing opportunities from qualification through to contract award, including proposal writing, value proposition / strategy development, solution development, commercial considerations, partner identification and risk management.
*Work together with sales and estimating to develop bids.
*Responsible for the commercial assurance of the projects under management.
*Day to day management of the company's commercial team. To include supporting the project surveyors on site where required.
*Identify any potential disputes, provide appropriate reports and ensure that issues are escalated appropriately.
*To assemble a bid team with the relevant service / product / business knowledge required to prepare a winning bid, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process.
*Implementation of all necessary bid procedures, governance and processes Bid Manager
*Proven capability in delivering winning, multi-million pound opportunities
*Extensive experience of managing commercial contracts (JCT & NEC) with clients is essential.
*Ideally has a background in bid management from opportunity identification through to project delivery and who has provided valuable input into opportunity qualification, win strategies, commercial discussions and solutions design. *
*Knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors and manufacturers.
- Must be comfortable working at CEO / Director Level (internal and external
- Customers).
*Sound commercial understanding, P&L and risk management skills.
*Solid understanding and implementation of internal governance procedures.
*A highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines and requires strong people management and commercial skills.
*The individual will have appropriate qualifications and professional membership of the RICS CIOB or ICE and hold a valid CSCS card.
