My client is recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an avid technologist wanting to progress their architectural journey through involvement in specifying, designing, and developing technical architecture across a broad range of technologies within an experiencedTechnical Services Architecture team.
The role supports the development and delivery of the roadmap for a portfolio of services, ensures that all required solutions are designed and implemented in line with the Architecture Standards and that designs deliver a strong but balanced outcome.
Key Deliverables:

- Supports the Technology Service Architect with the following tasks:

- Building the Service Strategy
- Defining and delivering the Service Roadmap
- Engagement with the Run function to ensure continuous service improvement receives focus as part of the overall roadmap
- Setting and maintaining the Service Standards
- Works with the Technical Delivery function to:

- Develop Technical Architecture Design Documents to agreed standards and timelines.
- Provide architectural support to build specialists during build activities
- Ensuring all governance processes and transition artifacts are completed to the required standards
- Participation in governance forums to ensure Technology Standards are maintained and to inform the roadmaps.
- Promotes the sharing of information with staff in resource pools, the cross skilling of teams and team members and the development of SME to better support both BUILD and RUN functions through their architectural perspective.
- Experience working as a Technical Architect designing and implementing robust, performant and high-quality solutions to time/budget/quality.
- Use of design methodologies/standards/patterns.
- Experience of both private & public cloud and more traditional infrastructure architectures.
- Customer and Stakeholder engagement and management.
- Leading build activities and working with delivery managers.
- Strong understanding of service transition into BAU and what is required to achieve this.
- Familiarity with a service-based approach to architecture.
- Familiarity and experience in the use of tools/technologies/frameworks for the design, development, build, testing & deployment of services.
- Excellent technical documentation skills - ability to break complex systems into their logical components and document these with diagrams and text in order to present to a wide audience.
- Confident communicator - able to present complex technical issues in a clear manner to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Avid technologist, with experience in both modern and traditional architecture and history of successful implementation of solutions in a selection of the following areas:

- AWS across compute, networking, and security.
- Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise environments.
- Active Directory architectures including Azure 365 in a hybrid configuration and associated SSO capabilities - SAML, OAuth Etc.
- The design and development of HA and DR architectures for a wide range of services and systems inclusive of IaaS, PaaS and considerate of interoperability between locations and systems.
- Identity Access Management architectures their upstream and downstream associations.
- DNS, DHCP and network architectures.
