**SEND TEACHING ASSISTANT**

Contract type: Long-term, temporary.

**Salary**: £70 - £80

We are seeking a nurturing and passionate **_SEND Teaching Assistant_**. You will work as part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team who believe in putting the children at the heart of everything they do, supporting them to enjoy theirlearning and make excellent progress, both academically and with their personal development.

**The job**:

- Provide support to students with _SEND_ needs in a small group or 1-1 setting
- Understand and follow _EHCPs_
- To take direction and assist the class teacher
- Support students with various learning needs
- Ensure the best quality of education for each pupil
- Provide a safe, stimulating, happy and friendly environment
- Promote inclusive learning
- Create and maintain supportive and calming relationships with the students
- Liaising with _SENCO_ and the _designated safeguarding lead_ to promote positive outcomes.

**You**:
Preferable but not essential.
- Have experience of working with children/students with _SEND_ needs
- Are knowledgeable, dedicated, and passionate
- Are understanding and have empathy
- Have a passion for teaching and learning
- Ability to make learning enjoyable and fun
- Ideally Team Teach trained but not essential - _free training is available_
- Are motivated and enthusiastic
- Have great communication skills
- Have a fun but firm presence.
