**Community Support Worker CSC Carers. 1 x FTE Grade 8 (CSW JD).**
***
An opportunity has arisen within the Adult Social Care Customer Service Centre for the recruitment of two Community Support Workers to deliver an improved offer to Carers in Leicestershire. This is predominantly an office-based role and will involve processing digital and telephone requests for carer support and completing Carers Assessments in line with The Care Act 2014. In occasional circumstances this role may involve meeting with Carers face to face.
A key part of the role will be supporting Carers to navigate through the pathway to support and assist them to:
- Feel supported to find their own solutions.
- Identify, manage, and review their own outcomes, risks, and capacity to care.
- Feel supported through the Carer’s assessment process.
- Deliver a response that meets the agreed outcomes for both Carer and cared for.
Knowledge of relevant legislation is essential and previous experience of working with carers would be advantageous.
