We are looking for a Transport supervisor to efficiently help manage & support all logistics functions within a team environment and ensure that all Operational and Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times.

**Your shift would include but not limited to...**
- manage all colleagues to comply with standard operating procedures in line with company policies, achieving company KPI and absence management KPI’s and building the right “can do “ depot culture
- Route Planning - Trunking
- Ensure all Vehicles are Road legal
- develop the team whilst promoting improvement initiatives
- Assist other team members as required
- Support fellow depot supervisors with all day to day tasks as necessary
- To action any other elements to fulfil the operational needs of the business
- Ensure resource including 3 rd party agency workers is planned & managed in line with flex in volume and budgeted costs
- Ensure transport vehicles are maintained in line with legal requirements and company policy
- Liaising and booking PMI's, MOT’s inline with Legal Requirements
- To ensure all vehicle & transport related incidents are investigated in a timely manner and reported accordingly
- In line with other depot supervisors, regular documented training and appraisals for all colleagues, particularly around delivery etiquette & processes
- Promote a positive image to all colleagues for the OFGL brand including presentation (uniforms/PPE/vehicle cleanliness )
- Ensure all agency workers are fully inducted and legally available to work
- Complete all clerical duties on time & accurately - finance, payroll, holidays, absence ,vehicle files etc
- Fully debrief delivery crews on both AM & PM shifts checking all paperwork has been completed in full
- Versitibility to cover multi functional department with Trunking & Home Delivery

**Skills and experience...**

CPC preferred but not essential
Health & Safety / Manual handling training
Previous experience of working in a fast paced retail furniture environment ( 2 Man Home Delivery an advantage but not essential )
Organised & methodical in approach to problem solving

**Key characteristics..**

Good level of numeracy & IT skills
Attention to detail
Good communication skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Team player with a “ can do “ & flexible attitude
