Implementation Consultant

We are looking for an Implementation Consultant to join the Implementation Services Team in the UK or Austria. This is an amazing opportunity to provide services to customers such as consulting, system analysis, configuration, (web-)trainings, workshops, implementation assistance and customer guidance as part of a project team led by an Ex Libris-Project Manager. The wider team consists of 40 people and this role reports to the Implementation Team Leader. We have a great skill set in project delivery and we would love to speak with you if you have proficiency in German and English.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Proficiency in written and spoken German is essential
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential
- At least 1 years’ experience working with B2B or/and B2G customers
- At least 1 years’ using MS office suite
- BA Degree

It would be great if you also had...
- Workflow experience in Higher Education (HE), e.g. Information Management, Electronic Resources, Library Management, Teaching and Learning and/or academic research processes
- Experience in project management and related certifications
- Masters’ degree in Library Science or related fields
- Working knowledge of Ex Libris products
- PMP or Prince II certification

What will you be doing in this role?
- Conducting. Conduct system and data analysis as part of Ex Libris products implementations
- Performing. Perform Ex Libris products configuration based on customer’s requirements
- Interpreting. Interpret and understand customer requirements and workflows and translate into solutions
- Providing. Provide consulting, guidance and assistance to customers during the project life cycle to ensure a successful implementation and high customer satisfaction
- Training. Train customers in Ex Libris products, web-based or via on-site workshops, and provide knowledge transfer and support for workflow and configuration decisions
- Providing. Provide project management for small scale projects and take responsibility for the coordination of all project work, project planning, monitoring, tracking, communication, reporting, risk management and escalations.

About the Team
- The product is a Higher Education SaaS product which includes ALMA ILS, Leganto reading list system, Rapido resource sharing system, Esploro Research Information Management Solution, Primo discovery, CampusM students mobile solution.
- You will be working with Internal Stakeholders such as ExLibris Professional Services, ExLibris Product Management, ExLibris Support team, SW sales team, Customer Success, Cloud and IT teams
- The External Stakeholders include Libraries, Research offices, IT department, ExLibris regional user groups
- The UK-IT team is 5 people strong and part of the EMEA implementation services team which is 20 people and then the IS team is part of Ex Libris PS EMEA which consist of around 40 people
- The team works on SaaS implementation projects which require customer training, system configuration, problem resolution, workshop both remote or onsite, migration and general consultancy.
- There are ad hoc consultancy projects like premium services
- For selected small scope projects, the position requires full end to end project management responsibilities
- The team is implementation consultants which is part of the EMEA professional services department who are based in the UK, Germany and Italy
- The team is very experienced working in a virtual environment because all of them are home based (even before the switch to the connected workplaces)

Hours of Work

This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week. This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours.
