**M Group Services Plant and Fleet Solutions **is recruiting for an External Plant Hire Controller to join our team in Stevenage.

Our team has grown rapidly, and we are responsible for the supply and management of specialist equipment and vehicles, supplying the Water, Energy, Transport, Data and Telecommunication sectors.

We currently provide a comprehensive fleet of over** 9000** trucks, vans and cars, together with over **25,000 **items of general plant and specialist utilities equipment from our Regional Supply Centre. Within this role, you'll get the opportunity to support our front-line operations by providing compliant, innovative and fit for purpose Vehicles Plant and Equipment.

As an External Plant Hire Controller with us, you will be a key part of our Regional Operations team. We transact all external enquiries relating to Plant, Fleet, Accommodation, Site Services and Tool requirements.

**As the **External Plant Hire Controller** **your responsibilities will include**:

- Processing of all Plant hire requirements through the Plant Hire mailbox
- You'll regularly liaise with the internal team to ensure we're maximising utilisation of our equipment
- Engage with supply chain to satisfy requests not supplied from internal stock
- Process all hire and off hire requirements received through the Plant Hire mailbox
- Once received, you will transact using management software (InspHire, Jamma Key2, Oracle)
- Continuously review live hire reports and supplier extranets to ensure Insphire is up to date at all times
- Process off hire requests, ensuring suppliers collect the equipment within the agreed time frames
- You'll continuously develop positive relationships with M Group Services Businesses’ and supply chain personnel
- With our support and training, you will become proficient in all aspects of hire management and general administration
- Manage and resolve invoice and general queries in a timely and efficient manner

**Skills & Knowledge Requirements**:

- You'll have gained previous experience within the Plant hire industry within a similar role
- The role involves accurate administration of key information so you will need to have experience in an administrative role
- We use Insphire and Jaama Key2 desirable so it would be great if you have knowledge of these systems, but full training will be provided.
- As a Plant Hire Controller, you will work closely with colleagues, customers and suppliers so you'll need to possess effective communications skills
- Proven IT Skills with experience of Microsoft Office
