Carmarthen, United Kingdom Carmarthenshire County Council Full time

**Casual Deputy Registrars - Marriages & Civil Partnerships**

**You will be paid on an hourly rate of £13.20 for the hours worked, as well as mileage as necessary.**

We are looking for casual Registration Officers to join our team of permanent and casual Registrars. The team provides a range of services including birth and death registration, marriages and civil partnerships and citizenship services.

In this role you will initially register marriages and civil partnerships at our Register Office and at approved venues i.e., hotels licensed for civil ceremonies and will progress to conducting ceremonies in due course.

As this is a casual contract this role will be undertaken as and when required to register or conduct ceremonies at weekends, especially during the spring/summer months.

You will be asked to provide your availability for two months in advance. Rotas are then allocated monthly. As the post is based upon attending weddings, the work will predominantly be Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays but may also include occasional Bank Holidays.

Previous experience is not essential as full training will be given. Experience in a frontline customer service environment and the ability to speak confidently in public is desirable.

You will need a good level of conversational Welsh. Support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.

As you will be expected to attend ceremonies at various locations throughout Carmarthenshire, it is essential that you can provide your own transport.
