**Junior Designer**

**Location**: Gateshead
**Hours**: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

**Salary**: £ 26,176.65 per annum

**Schedule**: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm | Friday 8:00am-2:00pm

We are looking for an enthusiastic **Junior Graphic Designer** to join our growing design team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with early experience in the design sector to develop their skills and contribute to exciting projects.

You will play a key role in creating **shop front schemes, vehicle fleet liveries, large-format digital graphics, and exhibition/display systems** — taking projects from client enquiry through to production-ready technical job sheets. You’ll also assist in developing innovative engineering solutions for both new and existing products.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support product development projects and take ownership where required
- Conduct product and market research to support range development
- Liaise with our production team to manage the manufacturing process
- Create CAD models and technical drawings for sales and installation teams
- Prepare accurate technical job sheets for production
- Assist the sales team with product specifications and visuals
- Work to creative briefs, gathering relevant assets and following brand guidelines
- Prepare artwork for correct formatting and output
- Present design concepts to senior management for approval

**Skills & Experience**
- A strong understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Previous design experience (academic, freelance, or industry) with examples of completed projects
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop essential)
- CAD software knowledge (advantageous)
- Solid IT skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workloads independently
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with enthusiasm to learn and share ideas
- Minimum GCSEs (grade C/4 or above) in English and Maths; ideally a Level 3 qualification (or above) in Design or a related field
