**The Role**

The food needs to be right for our residents and we take great pride in ensuring that what we prepare in our kitchens is of good quality, wholesome and nutritious. You will be a key link between the main kitchen and the serving of food to our residents.

This post will give you autonomy from creating menus, plating and arranging food trolleys. Being Cook you will oversee stock rotation, comply to company policies and procedures whilst following all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines. You will also train, coach and manage the kitchen assistants to ensure the kitchen is ran to the highest standards.

At Akari Care, we are always keen to develop people and let them run with ideas. We celebrate birthdays along with all the other events in a year, so if you enjoy making cakes or being the BBQ master, we would love to hear from you.

**What we need from you?**

You will have experience working as a Cook/Chef

You will have a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and be happy with following instructions within a busy kitchen environment

You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work well under pressure

You must be respectful and compassionate and resilient.
