**Job Summary**

We are looking for two Movement & Storage Assistants to join our busy Collections Care team, on a fixed-term basis (23 months), offering an exciting opportunity to learn how to carry out a wide range of core museum tasks in a national museum. Movement & Storage Assistants are responsible for the accurate location and movement of objects using barcode technology. The team get to handle, move and document the vast range of objects IWM cares for.

As a Movement & Storage Assistant (Level 2), you will contribute to projects that increase access to and use of the collections, or to ensure they are cared for to a high standard. The work will include basic documentation, labelling, marking, packing and preparing collections for digitisation or for movement to storage locations.

This role is part of an exciting programme of work to digitise over 4 million film and photographic objects within the next 10 years, to enable these collections to be available for the Second World War centenary.
