Up to £28k, depending on experience
Our client, London-based ethical law firm specialising in media and reputation law is currently seeking a General Office Clerk. You will be responsible for providing a central service to the firm to ensure efficient delivery of post/DX, printing and reproduction of documentation, as well as providing outdoor clerking assistance to the firm in an efficient, proactive and professional manner.
Reporting to: General Office and Facilities Manager
Main Duties
General Office Clerk
Duties to include the following administration support for all departments, together with any other appropriate tasks that may be identified from time to time.
- Process all post/DX received, scan onto the system and distribute to the relevant fee earners and secretaries.
- Scanning, printing, copying, binding and laminnating documentation when required.
- Delivering by hands.
- Archive closed files.
- Reduce storage, where possible, in the office.
- Reduce old case files, where possible, held with our storage company.
- Changing the confidential waste bins held in the office.
- Set up meeting rooms / atrium area for meetings and events.
- All post special/recorded delivery to be franked and taken to the post offce daily.
- Liaise with team secretaries to reduce files held in meeting rooms/office floor.
- Ensure firm stationery cupboard is adequately stocked.
- Ensure all printers in the firm are stocked daily with paper.
Skills required
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and enthusiasm for the role.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to use the firm’s systems including appropriate filings on iManage
- Good organisational and teamwork skills including liaising with other departments to complete your tasks
- Experience in a similar position preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: Up to £28,000.00 per year
