**Lead Cloud Engineer - Azure**

Modis are working in partnership with one of the UK's most renowned Financial Services sector employers to recruit a Lead Cloud Engineer to lead the technical delivery of cloud engineering, you will ensure they are in line with the agreed design principles,patterns and standards to guarantee the business has an efficient and secure cloud hosting capability.

**The Role**

As a Lead Cloud Engineer you will be the technical expert and utilise experiences across the Microsoft stack as well as service and microservice architectures to develop a clear purpose and direction.

**The Responsibilities**
- Lead the cloud engineering team in delivery of the cloud strategy and by taking the lead you will be responsible for all cloud engineering project requirements
- Be responsible for delivering cloud solutions which align with architectural objectives and enable business outcomes
- Deliver strategic insight and input in developing and enhancing strategies, practices and processes
- Provide technical delivery of design principles, patters, security and standards for the delivery of Cloud hosting capabilities, Infrastructure as code and DevOps pipelines.

**The Requirements**
- Experience in engineering and leading an Azure cloud capability within the financial services industry.
- Strong technical knowledge in the following technologies:

- Terraform
- Scripting (Powershell/BASH)
- Azure DevOps
- Json
- YAML
- Azure functions and services (IAAS/PAAS)
- A proven background in managing an engineering team delivering Azure cloud infrastructure solutions across multiple locations.
- Excellent management skills, balancing multiple priorities with allocation of resource while also leading multi-disciplinary teams, developing and motivating individuals.
