Bakery Assistant

**About us**

An exciting opportunity to work in Hertford Cake Co's offsite Bakery in Buntingford. This is the where all of our freshly baked products are made. We're not like other Bakeries, we we like to focus on cake making it the best it can be. We like to leave our Customers with a lasting experience, from the taste of our cakes, to the service they receive. They can take a seat in our Hertford Bakery Cafe to enjoy the moment. Or, customers can order online and choose one of our celebration cakes, either for delivery or collection in 2 days time.

We're an award winning, family run Bakery that focuses on fresh produce specialises in cake and delivers from our Bakery to our Cafe & customers every single day. You would be joining our friendly team of Bakers at an exciting time of growth & expansion. Allowing for fantastic career prospects.

**Duties**:

- Preparing & baking all of our cakes, brownies & cookies
- Ensuring quality control is maintained at all times to protect our reputation
- Assembling & decorating customer orders, following our set designs
- Follow Food Safety & Health & Safety procedures to ensure we are compliant at all times
- Process customer orders from our web system accurately and efficiently
- The ability to greet customers & serve when we open our bakery to he public once per week (if required)

**Experience/Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a bakery setting essential (minimum 1 year)
- Some cake decorating skills with an eye for detail & focus on perfection
- A team player with the ability to keep morale high in the workplace between colleagues
- Willingness to support the business' busy periods to ensure customer demand is met
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks
- Willingness to learn and help out in various areas of the Bakery as needed
- Level 2 Food Safety Certification (preferred)
- Ability to drive to the Bakery or live local & walk.

**Hours Required**:
4 days out of 7 including one weekend day
Overtime available
Part time position with potential to grow into full time as we expand
Early starts between 5am & 7am. Early finish from 11am to 2pm.

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
