Patient Care Advisor

We have an exciting opportunity for two band 2 to join the Diabetes Reception Team provide out patient reception services, based at the Diabetes Centre, North Tyneside General Hospital.
First point of contact by telephone or face to face for our patients with regard to the efficient smooth running of our out-patient facility.
Provision of patient appointments and maintenance of patient records using PAS and SystmOne.
The post holder will be required to provide reception cover for evening clinics (up to 7.00pm) on a rostered basis with colleagues 2-3 times per month
The will work as part of the wider admin clerical team to provide support and cover as and when required.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres.
