We are delighted to announce that we recruiting for a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) in the East Riding Emotional Wellbeing Service, Humber NHS teaching Foundation Trust.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative individuals to join a growing and evolving team. Working as a Senior PWP within the team you will help to develop, support and train staff along with providing low intensity therapy to the East Riding Population. In this position the majority of the work will be home working with the expectation of attending the office/base twice a month as per service need.

The Service supports people aged 16 and upwards in the community providing a range of recovery focused IAPT interventions for people with mild, moderate and severe common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. The service provides a stepped care treatment approach. The post holder will:

- Manage a caseload of patients with mild to moderate common mental health problems
- Provide caseload, clinical and managerial supervision to the PWP team
- Making decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department’s referral protocol
- Review and create pathways alongside management and clinical leads
- Attend regular clinical and managerial supervision
- Attend CPD days
- To work within Service/Trust protocols/ policies
- To work with a diverse population
- To fulfil supervisor responsibilities
- Ensure the supervision and professional development system for step 2 is in line with National IAPT guidance.

The post-holder will work within the IAPT service providing low intensity psychological interventions and will manage a caseload of mild to moderate psychological disorders, complete assessments and make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department’s Service protocols and Trust Policies. The post holder will demonstrate specialist clinical skills in practice and provide support/advice regarding service development and the delivery of care, in partnership with service users, carers, staff, managers and other agencies.

The post holder will work with a diverse population, people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.

The post-holder may need to fulfil supervisor responsibilities dependant on Service needs.

The Service currently works with patients via the telephone, online and uses digital platforms to deliver interventions, so the ability to do this is a requirement.
