Working collaboratively Lead on development and delivery of the SNEE ICB NHS Long term workforce plan (LTWP) 2023 Growth Plan in respect to the non-medical clinical workforce with a focus on clinical placement optimisation and expansion. Project manage delivery of plan and, acting in an impartial and independent manner, facilitate effective and productive working between providers and education establishments. Report to and share best practice from regional team. Contribute to work with regional CLE team to enable change, optimisation and expansion across the East of England Provide oversight of regional initiatives Placement Capacity optimisation and expansion Understand and develop work undertaken to date (e.g.
Standard operating procedures for agreeing student number and placement allocation). Lead collaborative working to optimise and expand placement capacity, including supporting providers and education establishments develop new models for student deployment (to enable consistent student flow throughout the calendar year). Support providers and education establishments to develop new and innovative placement opportunities and champion best practice. Project manage and facilitate improvements to planning clinical placements in advance throughout SNEE and linking with regional developments.
Working collaboratively with Providers, develop ICS Educator strategy to ensure placement quality, and that educators are able to meet demand and are sufficiently supported. Align LTWP trajectories and local (Trust, Primary and Social Care) workforce trajectories. Work with local providers to understand establishment funding, barriers and facilitating factors to build consistent approach to support newly qualified practitioners move into employment and stay in area. Student Supply Work collaboratively to support the establishment of entry pathways: Identify and highlight (and unite where applicable) current workstreams to achieve growth in student supply e.g.
