**SALARY**:£32,014 - £35,529 per annum + Benefits (see below)

**JOB OVERVIEW**
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer who works well, both as a team player and a self-starter with the ability to develop relationships with people at all levels and a good understanding of corporate partnerships.
Working as a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer you will play a key role in securing, maintaining and growing income from corporate partnerships in support of the company’s mission and specific core areas of farming that works, cities fit for people,energy that transforms and resilience that protects.
As a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer you will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to develop and manage a portfolio of relationships with companies and corporate foundations. You will support the development of offers to donors, coordinatethe development of proposals and lead on efforts to win new business. Through this, you will make a significant contribution towards the charity’s overall ambition to grow restricted income from private sources.

**DUTIES**
Your duties as a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer will include:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of relationships with global companies and corporate foundations
- Research and identify new prospects that align with the charity’s values and strategic ambitions
- Work with colleagues in Partnerships & Philanthropy Unit, Business Development and Strategy, Impact & Influence and Country Offices to identify opportunities
- Coordinate the development of concepts and proposals and support the process of developing proactive offers
- Lead the pitch process to new prospects to secure new business
- Steward partnerships by ensuring the submission of high-quality reports and excellent communications
- Contribute towards the organisation’s overall ambition to grow its restricted income from, and/or in partnership with, the private sectors
- Explore the donor landscape to identify appropriate companies and corporate foundations (UK and international) to support the implementation of the company’s Global Strategy
- Undertake detailed research to identify potential high value corporate partners and fully understand their funding preferences, criteria and fit with the company
- Secure approvals where necessary under the company’s Public and Private Engagements Policy
- Lead on the pitch process to new prospects
- Coordinate the development of concepts and proposals in close collaboration with colleagues at Group level and in Country Offices to further the Global Strategy and business plans
- Lead the development and negotiation for new carbon finance projects
- Support the process of developing proactive offers for prospective donors
- Maintain successful relationships with companies and corporate foundations by managing the process to draft high quality reports and other communications
**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
**Essential**:
- Good understanding of corporate partnerships and the main trends influencing such partnerships
- Good understanding of fundraising techniques, with a proven track record of raising funds from companies and corporate foundations
- Sound appreciation of the main trends in international development
- Ability to work as part of a team and to develop relationships with people at all levels both internally and externally, to build consensus and gain their support
- Experience in confidently representing the organisation to potential and existing funders
- Demonstrable negotiating and influencing skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to write compelling proposals and reports
- A methodical and meticulous approach
- Enthusiastic and results driven
- Experience of using a fundraising database
**Desirable**:
- A basic understanding of the carbon financing market
- Knowledge of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues within the corporate sector
