We are in need of mentors who are experienced working with young people from diverse backgrounds. A preference for experience of children in care and or not engaging within education.
We are looking for **dedicated and experienced mentors** to support children and young people. This is a **self-employed** role, providing therapeutic and trauma-informed mentoring to children in care, previously looked-after children, and those with a social worker.
**Pay**: £20 / £25 per hour
**Mileage paid**: £0.40 per mile*
**Location**: Applicants must be **based in Dorset** and willing to travel.
**Essential Requirements**:
Must be on the **DBS Update Service** or have a **DBS dated within the last 6 months**
Must have completed **Safeguarding, GDPR, and Prevent training** within the last **2 years**
Must be responsible for their own **learning and development** (at no cost to the company)
Must be **self-employed** and responsible for **own tax affairs**

**Responsibilities**
- Provide guidance and support to children in various settings, fostering their personal and academic growth.
- Develop and implement engaging mentoring programs tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate with educators and parents to address special education requirements.
- Facilitate group activities that promote teamwork and social skills.
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage development.
- Serve as a positive role model, inspiring youth to achieve their goals.
**Job Type**: Freelance
Pay: Up to £25.00 per hour
