**TRANSPORT PLANNER**:
Our team in **Perth** currently has an opening for a **Transport Planner**

Brenntag UK & Ireland (part of the global Brenntag Group) is the market leader in specialty, bulk and packaged chemical distribution. In the UK, we employ over 750 people from 21 strategic sites, three sea-fed facilities and have a dedicated fleet of over 100 vehicles. We serve over 20,000 customer accounts nationwide.

Reporting to the Transport Manager, this is a key support role where you’ll focus on co-ordinating and arranging all our internal/external haulage requirements, from initial booking of contractors and on time delivery of consignments, through to the completion of associated documentation.

As the Transport Planner, it will be your responsibility to:

- Have regular contact with hauliers to effectively manage driver time, ensuring efficient route planning and vehicle utilisation, whilst helping reduce product run outs and late deliveries
- Check customer usage and product levels to determine next delivery dates, along with confirming delivery weights of stock to ensure accurate loading
- Process all purchase orders and providing status updates to customers, as well dealing with any queries and undertaking general administration duties
- Have ongoing liaison with our Depot network and Technical Services team, to ensure needs are maintained and compliance requirements fulfilled
- Confidence to liaise and work closely with external haulage contractors, customers and colleagues - building and maintaining strong relationships
- Have the ability to accurately process telephone issues, deal with enquiries, work as part of a team and prioritise your workload in a busy office environment
- Good communication and administration skills, coupled with a clear and concise telephone manner, plus the flexibility and willingness to undertake additional tasks

As the Transport Planner, you should have:

- Have similar Logistics experience
- Previous experience in a Customer facing role
- CPC Preferred
