Our client are specialists in their market sector, they are looking to recruit a Painter to join their team. If you have experience working as an Industrial Painter in an engineering environment this role could be ideal for you.

**Job Specification**:
**The Job you’ll do**
- Undertake all painting activities for components / assemblies in line with the project requirements.
- Reading of GA drawings to identify components.
- Carry out weekly (or when required) inspections/checks and routine maintenance in the paint. shop/blast booth to ensure correct operation of all the equipment and to minimise down time; reporting any defects to the supervisor.
- Assist with training Technicians if required in blast and basic painting operations and to bring up to an acceptable standard.
- Carry out regular shop floor checks in assembly to identify parts which may require painting to avoid delays in build.
- Prepare and mask products to allow the painting activities to commence.
- Work with the Finals department as and when required to ensure paint repairs are complete to the required quality level.
- Work closely with the operational areas of the business to ensure that the required paint is available in readiness for the activities to commence.
- Use a range of hand tools and measuring equipment together with working knowledge of inspection procedures to undertake self-inspection.
- Support training of apprentices and trainees as and when required.
- Organise and store paperwork, documents and computer-based information, through maintaining departmental hardcopy and electronic files.
- Ensure that quality systems and procedures are adhered to.
- Participate in personnel development ensuring the Performance Management and Development process (PMD) is well supported.
- Ensure that you work in a safe manner and comply with the company’s Health and Safety Policy.
- Carry out site augmentation when work load allows and maintain a list of jobs to be carried out.
- Carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected.

**About You**
- Full UK driving licence desirable.
- NACE Certificate desirable (or working towards).
- Industry related qualification.
- Similar previous experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing organisation.
- Innovative approach to problem solving.
- Effective time management.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Has a positive, innovative and motivated approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.
