**Des**cription**:

- The Finished Vehicle Distribution department is responsible for the movement of new company vehicles to dealers and customers in over 100 markets worldwide.

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:

- Management of day-to-day outbound distribution operations.
- Interface with manufacturing, quality, launch and central MP&L, finance, marketing and sales, purchase, lead logistics providers (national and international) and customs.
- Provide total logistics advise and support and reporting to MP&L management.
- Conduct 'Go Look See' across various plant functions, recommending or advising on best cost and operational solutions strategy and planning for outbound distribution, including analysing existing and new transport opportunities to market.
- Optimisation of existing relationships between company and the current supplier base.
- Distribution route change, planning, cost assessment and deployment.
- Ensuring policy deployment and timely distribution scorecards objective updates.
- Planning and co-ordination of Finished Vehicle Launch Stocks supporting New Model Launch activities.
- Management and development of Lead Logistic suppliers ensuring performance in-line with contracted Service Levels and supporting the development and achievement of improvement plans.
- Production of distribution forecasts, reports and key performance indicators.
- Development of National, European and global tenders working closely with purchasing and markets.
- Promote damage prevention and continuous improvement via lessons learned and the use of best practice.

**Skills Required**:

- Good understanding of supply chain either national or international.
- Strong communication skills both in written and verbal.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word).

**Experience Required**:

- Good understanding of MP&L and supply chain management either national or international.
- Experience in managing transport service providers in a fast-paced working environment.
- Understanding of purchasing and contract negotiation processes and strategy.
- Strong data analytics capability.
- Experience working with data visualisation tools like Tableau and PowerBI are advantageous.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word).
- Ability to communicate and influence others.
- Strong communication skills both in written and verbal.
- Presentation skills, creative, good networking skills.

**Experience Preferred**:
**Desirable**:

- Understanding of manufacturing production methods desirable.
- Good problem solving techniques and understanding of lean manufacturing principals.
- Knowledge of new product introduction and manufacturing processes are advantageous.
