**Job Title**:Level 2 / 3 Nursery Practitioner

**Location**: Rock A Tots Day Nursery, West Moors

**Hours**:Full time, Monday to Friday

Rock a Tots Nursery is seeking a dedicated and passionate Level 2 / 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our dynamic team of childcare professionals. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged between 0 and 5 years old. Your main objective will be to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of the children under your care.

**Responsibilities**:

- Childcare and Development: Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, daily routines, and educational programs to encourage children's social, emotional, and intellectual growth.
- Observation and Assessment: Observe and assess children's progress, behaviour, and development regularly. Maintain accurate records and use this information to inform individualized learning plans and report to parents and senior staff.
- Parent Communication: Establish positive and effective communication with parents and guardians, providing them with updates on their child's progress and any relevant information related to their well-being.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other nursery practitioners and staff to create a cohesive and supportive environment for both children and colleagues.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring that the nursery environment is clean, safe, and hazard-free. Promote good hygiene practices and follow appropriate safeguarding procedures.
- Inclusive Practice: Embrace and promote diversity and inclusivity within the nursery setting, recognising, and catering to individual needs and learning styles.
- Continuous Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in early childhood education and attend relevant training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Engagement with Parents: Participate in parent meetings, workshops, and events to foster positive relationships between parents and the nursery.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education.
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is preferred.
- Passion for working with children and a genuine interest in their development.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to handle challenging situations with a calm and positive approach.
- A proactive and creative approach to planning and delivering activities for children.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to the nursery's overall success.
