Risk Consultant Insurance Surveyor

A leading Insurance company is looking for a Risk Consultant to join their Risk management team bases in East Midlands, fully home based
The team is looking expand their property team with the post holder acting as a dedicated focal point that will support the SME Regional Business accounts, delivering Risk Engineering through survey programmes, technical advice, and support in accordancewith Group Underwriting and Risk Management policy and in support of SME, Corporate & Speciality Risk / Property Investors business plans.
**Responsibilities**:
- Delivering a risk management service to support the company's intention of being the leading insurer
- Producing bespoke quality survey reports and risk improvements including preparation and delivery of presentations to senior client management
- Managing & co-ordinating risks, handling technical referrals from brokers, clients and colleagues
- Developing an external network of Broker relationships, as well as key internal partner relationships to ensure best service is delivered
- Safeguarding that the governance framework is adhered to - ensuring Risk compliance
- Supporting initiatives for service and operational improvements by acting on feedback from customers - sharing ideas and engaging our team to fully work through options
- Maintaining training log linked to CPD
- Supporting regional team meetings, liability team meetings and conference calls for the liability team
**Skills and experience we're looking for**:
- Detailed knowledge of current risk management and loss prevention practices for Property and Business Interruption risks - and liability knowledge would be great to see such as NEBOSH certificate in Health & Safety qualification or equivalent
- Strong confidence and experience with survey reporting and writing to a high standard
- Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, codes of practice, guidance and industry standards with experience across a wide range of trades
- Ability to analyse, collate and interpret underwriting information to ensure pro-active risk management decisions are made
- Highly developed presentation and customer engagement skills; experience at influencing and negotiating
