**Working Pattern**: Permanent Full Time on a shift pattern to cover Days / nights & weekends - the Alarm Receiving Centre is a 24/7 operation.

**Group Security and Investigation** staff provide an integral part of protecting SSE’s assets. The Alarm Receiving Centre is the focal point for reporting and managing all forms of security incidents. The centre currently manages over 3,000 cameras, 825 Intruder/Fire Alarms and our PAC Access Control System and the administration of ID cards and validation of staff.

In this challenging role you will be part of a team ensuring the smooth running of the electronic physical security systems deployed across the SSE estate in the UK and Ireland in order to maintain a safe and secure working environment for all staff, contractors and visitors. Other key parts of the role will be to monitor the deployment of resource both in house and contractors; meet appropriate National Security Inspectorate (NSI) Gold and Silver Certification standards; ensure alarms are captured and actioned as appropriate upon signalling; ensure action plans are followed to mitigate the risk of loss, fraud, theft or danger of death to staff, contractors and the general public; minimise risk of outages as a result of unlawful intrusion for the purposes of theft, vandalism, malicious mischief or terrorism at any

**What do I need?**

Business Knowledge
- Understanding and knowledge of ARC functions and requirements.
- Understanding of SSE and ARC process and procedures.
- Knowledge of NSI Audit process, understanding the requirements of Audit.

Technical Skills
- IT Skills, Microsoft package use e.g. Excel, Word.
