Group Head of Plant and Transport

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Head of Plant and Transport to join our business based out of our Levenshulme office. The purpose of the role will be to take over the leadership of our existing Plant and Transport division and develop the team and processes for the future.

This is a very demanding role, taking control of a fleet of in excess of 1100 vehicles and over 2000 items of Plant across multiple sites in the UK.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Undertake full management responsibility for all Head Office and Regional departmental staff associated with Plant and Transport across multiple sites.
- Work closely with all other businesses within OCU Group.
- Ensure compliance (including operators licences) across all owned and external assets.
- Insurance awareness.
- Understanding of Plant and Transport P and L.
- Take responsibility for Checkedsafe, Trackunit and VUE management and reporting.
- Fuel management view Allstar and internal useage per vehicle by contract.
- Liaise with the Asset Director on proposed purchases/sales.
- Attend Operational meetings both locally and Nationally as required.
- Take responsibility for branding and signage.

**Skills and Experience**
- Previous extensive experience in a similar position in a medium to large organisation is essential.
- Experience of FORS accreditation.
- Excellent IT Skills, ideally with previous experience of Syrinx.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident presentation skills.
- Experience of managing teams across multiple sites.
