**Graduate Learning Support Assistant**

A warm and welcoming secondary school in Newcastle are recruiting for a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their team of caring, supportive, and committed staff for the remaining academic year. The role involves both leading group sessions and 1:1 intervention under the guidance of the class teacher.

**Graduate Learning Support Assistant - The Role**:

- Graduate Learning Support Assistant
- Ashington, NE63
- Providing support students in a mainstream school
- Promoting student’s educational, emotional, and social development
- Employing and adapting various teaching strategies to suit the needs of the children
- Liaising with SENCo and teachers to aid access to the full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom

**Graduate Learning Support Assistant - The Benefits**:

**Graduate Learning Support Assistant - Applicant Requirements**:

- Previous experience tutoring or mentoring
- Previous experience working/volunteering with children and young people
- Passionate about supporting people with SEN
- Understanding, patient and empathetic towards young people’s needs
- Dedicated to making a difference to student’s experience of education
