Nine Twenty Recruitment is excited to working with a large manufacturing company based in Aberdeen who are looking for a Workshop Chargehand to join their team. They will be responsible to the Production Manager, leads the organisation of workshop staff and will have regular contact and communications with other operations and maintenance teams and occasionally with other levels of management and external customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Production Manager and Planner to set out daily tasks to maximise production.
- Lead and develop machinists and operators to reduce downtime and increase efficiencies.
- Create and edit programs to assist machinists.
- Assist with and carry out contract review of work orders.
- To assist as required other members of the operations and maintenance teams, in minimizing downtime of plant, whilst ensuring process compliance.
- To identify where corrective action is required, and to take the appropriate action where necessary.
- Participate as required in continuous improvement initiatives with a strong focus on 5’s.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with defined Quality Procedures, Standards and Directives.
- Ensure compliance with the Company’s Environmental Control Policies and Procedures and Statutory Regulations at all times.
- Ensure compliance of the Company’s Health & Safety Policies and Procedures, Safe Working Practices and Statutory Regulations at all times
