Compliance Risk Analyst

The Role
As the Compliance Risk Analyst, you will be joining the Compliance team, here you will be responsible for supporting the Compliance function in delivering our quality control and risk management monitoring and assurance programme. You will learn how to measureprocess effectiveness, develop your data analytical skills, and increase your awareness of how Financial Services regulation impacts commercial operations in the Asset Finance industry.
You will also be allocated tasks arising from compliance projects such as implementation of automation software, development of the Data Privacy, Financial Security, Consumer Protection and Operational Risk frameworks, and responding to day-to-day advice requestsfrom the business.
You will report directly into our Fraud Manager who is responsible for managing the Compliance Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Compliance Monitoring, producing statistical dashboards as part of our 4 Regulatory Risk Frameworks, including requirements gathering, reporting and recommendation of remediation actions as appropriate.
- Effectively evaluate and analyse risk management business data (sanction screening, breaches, data retention limitations and first line controls effectiveness)
- Undertake on-the-job learning to build an understanding of applicable laws, regulations, rules, and standards including writing up summaries as required
- Supporting the team in relation to establishing and maintaining effective systems and controls for compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and standards
- Support the requirements gathering for automation and process improvement in the Compliance team
- Ensure that all company data is recorded accurately through rigorous monitoring checks and challenge shortfalls as appropriate to manage a robust regulatory framework for Propel
- Provide friendly and pragmatic Compliance advice to all stakeholders through the compliance helpdesk.
- Also required to assist the Head of Compliance or Compliance & Fraud Manager with other tasks as required.
