**Senior Health Care Assistant - LycaHealth**

**Role Overview**:
LycaHealth is looking for an experienced Senior Health Care Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial in providing high-quality, patient-oriented care by supporting our clinical staff and assisting with various healthcare duties. You will be involved in patient health assessments, phlebotomy, assisting in minor procedures, and performing key administrative tasks such as billing and managing test results.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Patient Care**: Escort and assist patients as needed, act as a chaperone, and monitor vital signs including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and more.
- **Clinical Support**: Assist with minor procedures and prepare rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and sterile.
- **Phlebotomy & Assessments**: Perform phlebotomy, record health data (BMI, blood glucose, ECG, etc.), and support the delivery of patient care.
- **Infection Control**: Follow strict infection prevention protocols, ensure cleanliness in working areas, and manage the disposal of waste and sharps.
- **Customer Service**: Provide exceptional customer care by supporting patients and working in partnership with consultants and other medical staff to ensure a smooth service.
- **Data Management**: Ensure the accurate handling of patient information, maintaining confidentiality in line with GDPR. Use healthcare systems (PAS, PACS) to assist in service delivery.
- **Health & Safety**: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff. Participate in risk assessments and incident reporting as part of the safety and quality assurance procedures.

**Work Pattern**:
This is a full-time role with a 40-hour workweek, usually across 5 shifts between 08:00 - 20:00, Monday to Friday. Flexibility to work across both LycaHealth sites and occasional evenings or weekends may be required.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar clinical setting is essential.
- Phlebotomy experience or certification is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care.
